After acquiring a degree in music theatre from Florida State University, Kate moved to New York where she honed her cabaret skills performing to crowds big and small, which led to an opportunity to work with America Public Media’s A Prairie Home Companion.

Since moving back to Minneapolis, Kate’s work has been seen at Theater Latte Da, Ten Thousand Things, The Ordway, Frank Theatre, Lyric Arts, Theatre Mu and Daleko Arts.

Kate can also be seen regularly at Crooners Supper Club which was voted as one of the Best Jazz Venues in the World by Downbeat Magazine.
